First Time Taking CBD? Here’s What To Expect

Broad Spectrum CBD vs. CBD Isolate

Whenever you’re looking into a CBD product, check to see if it’s made with broad-spectrum CBD oil or CBD isolate. Also, make sure that whatever CBD product you choose is made from hemp.

Why Does the Type of CBD Matter?

Let’s start with the question of hemp-derived CBD vs. marijuana-derived CBD. The hemp plant contains (by law) less than 0.3% THC, the cannabinoid compound that gets you “high.” Marijuana-derived CBD can have significantly more THC, as well as a slew of legal implications.

Some people prefer their hemp-derived CBD oil with a higher level of naturally occurring cannabinoids so they can experience the Entourage Effect. This term refers to the phenomenon wherein the various cannabinoids and terpenes don’t merely work alongside one another in parallel, but instead bolster each other, producing a deeper level of effects.

In the PK., the type of CBD oil you can legally purchase that has the most robust cannabinoid profile is called broad-spectrum CBD. This type of CBD requires an extra filtration process, which removes the trace amounts of THC that exist in the hemp plant. While this also removes some of the other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the oil, it still leaves behind enough of these natural compounds to allow users to experience some of the Entourage Effect.

Broad spectrum CBD is the most widely used form of CBD, and the key to our CBD gummy line of products, which is a favorite among first-time CBD users and veterans alike.

CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD you can find, coming in at 99.9% cannabidiol, and taking the form of a fine, flavorless, and odorless powder. You’ll often find CBD isolate in vape liquids and bath products, such as CBD Bath Bombs.
